A SPECIAL meeting of the BFA Union District #48 and Northwest Technical Center Board of Directors was held on September 19, 2006.
Present for Quorum: Jim Mercier, Sally Lindberg, Nilda Gonnella-French, and Donna Corrigan
Absent: Al Corey
Administrators: Marilyn Grunewald, FCSU Superintendent; Ned Caron, BFA Principal; Dennis Hill, Assistant Principal; and Geoffrey Lyons, Assistant Principal
Visitors: Joe Cahill, Parent of Student 2006/2007#1 and Student and Parents of Student 2006/2007#2 and student.
1. Call to Order
Jim Mercier, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
A motion was made at 6:00 PM by Nilda Gonnella-French and seconded by Sally Lindberg to enter into Executive Session for a student issue. Motion carried 4-0.
A motion was made at 7:30 PM by Nilda Gonnella-French and seconded by Donna Corrigan to come out Executive Session. Motion carried 4-0.
A motion was made by Donna Corrigan and seconded by Nilda Gonnella-French. Sufficient evidence was presented to establish the Board’s satisfaction that Student 2006/2007 #1 violated the school’s policies and to approve the recommendations of the School Administrator regarding consequences of the student’s actions. Motion carried 4-0.
A motion was made by Sally Lindberg and seconded by Nilda Gonnella-French. Sufficient evidence was presented to establish the Board’s satisfaction that Student 2006/2007 #2 violated the school’s policies and to approve the recommendations of the School Administrator with one change regarding consequences of the student’s actions. Motion carried 3-1.

A motion was made by Donna Corrigan and seconded by Nilda Gonnella-French to adjourn at 7:40 PM. Motion carried 3-1.
